Cookie & Storage Policy
MapLink currently uses only browser storage that is necessary for security, authenticated sessions and remembering your cookie preference. No advertising or behavioural analytics cookies are active.
Because the current website uses no technically non-essential cookies or trackers, Austrian law does not require consent for the cookies listed below. The first-visit notice informs you about them and lets you reopen these settings at any time.
1. What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small data records stored by your browser. Similar technologies can store or access information on your device as well. In Austria, § 165(3) TKG 2021 governs the storage of or access to information on terminal equipment. Storage/access that is strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user can be used without consent; optional storage requires prior informed consent.

3. Optional categories
If MapLink later introduces optional analytics, marketing or third-party technologies, they must remain blocked until the required consent has been given. The cookie notice and this policy must be updated before such technology is activated.
4. Session and security cookies
Customer and administrator sessions use separate cookies. They are configured as session cookies and use Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite protections where applicable. They are not used to create advertising profiles or to track browsing across unrelated websites.
5. Cookie preference record
The maplink_cookie_preferences cookie stores the version of this policy and your category choice for up to 180 days. Its only purpose is to remember your cookie settings and prevent the information notice from appearing on every page. You can change or reset the preference at any time through in the footer.
6. How to remove cookies
You can delete MapLink cookies using your browser settings. Deleting the customer or administrator session cookie signs the corresponding session out. Deleting the preference cookie causes the cookie notice to be shown again on your next visit.
7. Legal basis and further information
The current strictly necessary storage is used to provide requested account/security functions and to remember privacy settings. For personal-data processing connected with these functions, see the Privacy Policy. If consent becomes necessary for a future optional category, consent will be requested before that category is activated and can be withdrawn as easily as it was given.
