Controlled access

Licensing built for real server operators.

Licenses are issued server-side, claimed into a My MapLink account and activated by the local Control Center. MapLink receives a short-lived Ed25519-signed lease; the private signing key stays on maplink.at.

1

Issue

The MapLink administrator creates a license for a customer email and sets installation/server limits. The plaintext key is displayed once.

2

Claim & activate

The customer claims the license into My MapLink. The Control Center then binds an installation without exposing the machine fingerprint itself.

3

Signed lease

Activation returns a short-lived Ed25519-signed lease plus a separate activation token used for refresh. The license key is not required for normal refresh.

Offline tolerance

The default design uses a 48-hour lease, refresh after 24 hours and an additional 72-hour offline grace period. A short website outage should not disable a healthy server.

Fail-closed, not destructive

After a revoked or expired entitlement can no longer be refreshed, MapLink will be designed to deny new transfers. It must not stop DayZ, CFTools or destroy player state.

Protected customer downloads

Installation packages are delivered through My MapLink. Access requires an active account, verified email address, an eligible license, the current EULA acceptance and a short-lived one-time download ticket.
